Bougainville's Skink Lerista bougainvillii is found in South-eastern South Australia including southern Eyre Peninsula, Kangaroo Island and the Flinders Ranges. It is also found over most of Victoria and many parts of eastern NSW extending almost to the Qld border. However, it has not been recorded in Canberra, ACT to my knowledge. It also occurs in Northen Tasmania and Islands in the Bass Straight
The Bougainville's skink Lerista bougainvillii above 2 photos was found near Chewton, Victoria, notice that the eye is hard to see, and the the tip of the tail has regrown

The Bougainville's skink Lerista bougainvillii reputedly lays either eggs or has live young depending on its geographic location, eggs sometimes hatch soon after being laid. Found in leaf litter or under rocks, debris and rubbish.
