Copper-tailed Skink - Ctenotus taeniolatus
Tail colouration is normally brighter in juvenile Copper-tailed Skinks (Ctenotus taeniolatus) than adults. This very young Copper-tailed Skink (Ctenotus taeniolatus) was photographed near Anvil Rock in the Blue Mountains NSW.

This is a very common species fast moving skink, found along the East coast and ranges of Australia.

Distributed from the Eastern half of Victoria through the ACT, far eastern NSW and Qld to the Cairns area of North Qld.
