Comments:- Grows to approximately 1-2 meters (3-6ft), with most being at the shorter end of this range. Note this is possibly the most commonly kept species of python in the world with a large variety of colours and patterns (Morphs) being bred in captivity. Almost all morphs would never be found in the wild but have been bred from snakes resembling the first picture which is close to natural pattern.
The Ball Python or Royal Python (Python regius) above is close to natural pattern , those below have been produced by selective breeding from the above variety and a very few (rarely) natural occurring morphs (such as albinos or snakes missing particular colours, or with brighter colours etc.)
