The Western Bearded Dragon (Pogona minor minor) is the most widely distributed subspecies found over much of Western Australia and parts of South Australia and Northern Territory.

MITCHELL'S BEARDED DRAGON

Previously known as Pogona mitchelli this species is distinguished from Pogona minor minor by its wider head, looking more like a small Inland Bearded Dragon Pogona vitticeps

Abrolhos Bearded Dragons (Pogona minor minima) are very rare and may become extinct! They are only recorded from Houtman Abrolhos (Islands) near Geraldton WA
This subspecies is NOT found on the Australian mainland!
