Distribution:-  Cuba and the Isla de la Juventud, Archipélago de los Canarreos, Archipélago de los  Colorados, Archipélago de Sabana-Camagüey.
Also found in the Bahamas.

Comments:- Usually grows to approximately 2-3 metres (6-10ft) but there is a record of one which was almost 5 metres (16ft) as well as older claims of even larger specimens!
